There are many methods for covering books, this page details some methods for a range of common covering styles.

Plain non adhesive plastic gives good protection, but can be removed. It is most useful in applications where you want to preserve the value of a book and protect it from handling and environmental damage.

Contact Adhesive film is popular for use with books which are handled often but don't necessarily have a high value or are considered collectable. For example, schoolbooks, children's books.

Suitable for hardcover books with dust jackets
This method is popular with bookshops as it is very quick and easy, and give good protection to a book's dust jacket.
